Chatterbug is a Social Enterprise providing high-quality, evidence-based Speech and Language Therapy services across the UK. Our mission is to create positive, lasting impact for children, families, and communities. We are now looking for an experienced Marketing Operations Manager to lead and manage our marketing team and bring structure, clarity, and oversight to the day-to-day delivery of our marketing activity as we continue to grow our services.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Marketing Operations Manager to line manage the marketing team and oversee the day-to-day running of our marketing function, ensuring work is planned, prioritised, and delivered effectively. This is an operational management role, focused on planning, coordination, delivery, and performance oversight, working within agreed business priorities and direction. It is not a hands-on content or campaign execution role. You will provide structure, oversight, and direction to an established marketing team, ensuring activity is aligned to business priorities and delivered to a high standard. The role suits someone who values organisation, sound judgement, and follow-through, and who enables others to work efficiently while giving senior leaders confidence in progress, decisions, and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Line manage and provide operational oversight to the marketing team (Content Creator and Marketing Executive)
  • Maintain a clear, prioritised marketing plan and delivery roadmap, agreed with senior leadership
  • Ensure marketing activity is planned, sequenced, and delivered on time
  • Create and embed effective workflows and ways of working
  • Identify risks, bottlenecks, and delivery issues early and resolve them proactively
  • Set clear priorities and expectations, ensuring alignment across activities
  • Facilitate regular check-ins focused on progress, blockers, and decisions
  • Track progress against agreed goals and KPIs and produce concise updates for senior leadership
  • Ensure marketing tools, systems, and data are used effectively to improve visibility of performance and outcomes
  • Act as the main operational link between marketing, sales, and leadership
  • Ensure marketing activity supports key organisational priorities, including: Chatterbug Academy growth, Private Client expansion, School service contracts, Bright Speech App development, OEPR rollout, Chatterbug growth and development

About You

  • Proven experience in a Marketing Operations, Delivery, Programme, or Operations-focused role, with hands-on responsibility for managing delivery and people
  • Strong background in managing workflows, priorities, and delivery within a marketing environment
  • Experience overseeing and supporting marketing teams or cross-functional delivery
  • Comfortable working with data, reporting, and performance metrics
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and reliable, with a strong sense of ownership
  • Confident making decisions and progressing work without over-analysis
  • Clear, professional communicator who provides timely and reliable updates
  • Experience using project management and CRM tools (e.g. Jira, HubSpot, Zoho, or similar)
  • A marketing degree is desirable but not essential; practical operational experience is prioritised.
