We are a pair of busy executives in North London looking for a proactive, organised and experienced Private Household Personal Assistant to help keep our personal and household lives running smoothly. This is a live-out, part-time freelance role that combines practical hands-on support (errands, household coordination, small projects) with more “behind-the-scenes” organisation (systems, life admin, research). It would suit someone who genuinely enjoys both getting things done and putting structure around chaos.

  • Contract type: Part-time, self-employed freelance
  • Hours: 16 hours per week, spread flexibly across the week
  • Rate: £20 per hour
  • Location: North London household + remote work
  • Experience: Minimum 2+ years’ experience in a private household PA or similar high-trust role
  • Driving: Must have a full UK driving licence
Role Overview

You will support two executives with a mix of household, lifestyle and light executive support, ensuring that day-to-day life runs smoothly, deadlines are met, and the “mental load” of everyday tasks is taken off their plate. This is an ideal role for someone who:

  • Thrives on variety and can handle weeks that sometimes feel very calm and other times very busy
  • Enjoys setting up simple, repeatable systems (lists, calendars, spreadsheets, processes) rather than firefighting the same problems repeatedly
  • Takes pride in delivering a level of service that feels thoughtful, organised and one step ahead

A background or interest in arts, creative industries or business is a bonus, as some of the work touches on studio, creative and project-based environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Day-to-day admin & diary support
    • Arrange and manage personal appointments and basic diary entries
    • Book travel, accommodation, restaurants and events, and confirm the details
    • Handle simple office/administrative tasks linked to the principals’ work and personal lives
  • Errands, shopping & household logistics
    • Take care of practical tasks such as grocery shopping, returns, dry cleaning, posting parcels, and collecting or delivering items
    • Drive for local errands as needed, using sensible routes and planning ahead
    • Keep an eye on household/studio supplies and organise top-ups when asked
  • Household & studio coordination
    • Help keep household and studio spaces orderly and functional (e.g. organising key areas)
    • Arrange and oversee small household fixes or installations (e.g. tradespeople, deliveries, furniture), ensuring work is completed as agreed
    • Keep basic notes so it’s easy to see what has been done and what is still outstanding
  • Vendors, projects & light admin
    • Liaise with external vendors and service providers, from tradespeople to cleaners to specialist suppliers
    • Coordinate small projects (for example, setting up a new service, organising a minor refurbishment, or arranging a move/installation)
    • Track simple details such as dates, bookings, quotes and receipts in an orderly way
  • Research, hospitality & gifting
    • Research and compare options for services, venues, products, gifts or travel when requested, and share clear shortlists
    • Arrange flowers, gifts and hospitality for guests, collaborators, friends and family, reflecting the household’s style and standards
  • General flexibility
    • Take on other reasonable duties as requested, occasionally at short notice
    • Use good judgement and common sense, asking for guidance where needed but otherwise working independently within agreed boundaries
About You
  • Experienced & trustworthy
    • At least 2+ years’ experience as a private household PA, lifestyle PA, or similar high-trust role (including for HNW individuals, creatives or entrepreneurs)
    • Comfortable handling confidential and sensitive information with absolute discretion
  • Organised & systems-minded
    • Naturally creates lists, trackers and simple systems to keep things on track
    • Able to manage multiple moving parts and changing priorities without dropping details
  • Proactive & solution-focused
    • Spots what needs doing and takes action, rather than waiting to be told
    • Brings options and potential solutions, not just problems
  • Calm, adaptable temperament
    • Comfortable with a workload that can fluctuate: some weeks very calm, others busier
    • Stays steady, polite and clear even when juggling several things at once
  • Practical & hands-on
    • Happy to roll up your sleeves for errands, organising, light household tasks and basic DIY/maintenance coordination
    • Confident driving around London, navigating traffic, parking and routes
  • People smart & good communicator
    • Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly, professional manner
    • Fluent written and spoken English; able to communicate clearly with everyone from tradespeople to venues to professional contacts
  • Tech-comfortable
    • Confident using basic digital tools (e.g. Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, shared calendars, spreadsheets, task apps)
