Chatham’s Internal Finance team provides detailed reporting to the firm’s various sectors and practice areas to enable informed business decisions. We are seeking an organized, inquisitive, and detail-oriented Accounting Contractor to join our team for a 3-month engagement supporting day-to-day accounting operations. This role will work closely with members of the Internal Finance team to assist with billing, receivables, and general accounting activities that help maintain accurate financial records and reporting.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop a working understanding of Chatham’s billing models and revenue structure.
  • Assist with retainer invoicing and provide backup support for general invoicing as needed.
  • Assist with monitoring outstanding receivables and supporting AR collections outreach.
  • Support monthly bank reconciliations and basic account reviews.
  • Participate in team meetings and company-wide meetings, gaining exposure to Chatham’s culture, leadership, and strategic priorities.
  • Engage in structured onboarding and training to build knowledge of Chatham’s systems, processes, and the broader financial services industry.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with accounting systems is a plus.
  • Desire to learn and contribute in a fast‑paced professional environment.
