This role is responsible for leading the development and execution of UK marketing strategy for ophthalmology brands, driving sales, market share, and brand growth. You will take end-to-end ownership of brand strategy and execution, working closely with commercial teams to support product adoption across ophthalmologists and specialist eye care settings. The role will also play a key part in expanding channel strategy, including the development of digital and e-commerce platforms.
Key Responsibilities- Lead development and delivery of UK brand strategy and annual plans
- Translate strategy into effective campaigns, tools, and messaging for commercial teams
- Support product adoption across ophthalmologists, eye care specialists, and relevant healthcare stakeholders
- Develop campaigns across digital, in-clinic, events, and e-commerce channels (e.g. Amazon)
- Identify opportunities to grow and optimise online sales channels
- Generate market insights to inform strategy and positioning
- Build relationships with key opinion leaders and relevant stakeholders in ophthalmology
- Monitor competitor activity and adapt strategy accordingly
- Experience in pharmaceutical, medical device, or healthcare marketing
- Experience working within or alongside ophthalmology or specialist clinical environments would be advantageous
- Strong commercial mindset with the ability to define strategy and deliver execution
- Experience developing campaigns, messaging, and brand positioning
- Confident communicator, comfortable working with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Exposure to digital or e-commerce channels is advantageous
- End-to-end ownership of brand strategy and delivery
