Our client is a global, broad based healthcare company devoted to discovering new medicines, new technologies and new ways to manage health. They have a broad portfolio of products which includes pharmaceutical specialised medicines, diagnostic systems and tests, vascular devices, blood glucose monitoring systems, nutritional products and veterinary care. They currently have a new opportunity for a talented MSL to work with them in the location shown.

In this business critical position, you will be responsible for providing strategic support to achieve the business objectives of their medical reimbursed nutrition business. This will include being the primary communicator with healthcare professionals as a peer to peer scientific expert. You will combine strong business acumen, market awareness, as well as clinical expertise to serve as a conduit of information to multiple cross functional internal stakeholders.

In addition you will:

  • Build relationships with external key opinion leaders aligned to business needs
  • Manage the KOL engagement plan
  • Serve as a scientific resource to commercial partners as appropriate to support activities such as medical/nutrition congress staffing, advisory boards, and training initiatives
  • Accountable for developing and communicating clinical and scientific information, programs and presentations
  • Provide support for clinical initiatives, executes a strategic plan and team tactical plan supporting clinical and commercial partner needs, meets aligned project deadlines and contributes to affiliate plans and goals

Candidate background required:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant science discipline, equivalent to BSc in dietetics and/or other relevant science/clinical experience
  • Registered dietitian, or equivalent preferred
  • Clinical experience in one of the therapeutics areas; geriatrics, respiratory, frailty preferred
  • Commercial experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to translate scientific papers and communicate science and clinical information peer to peer
  • Adaptable and able to work cross-functionally
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Excellent networking skills
