Medical Science Liaison – South UK

Our client is a global, science-led biotech organisation dedicated to transforming outcomes for patients living with rare autoimmune diseases. With an innovative late-stage pipeline and a strong commitment to addressing high unmet need, the company is entering an exciting pre-launch phase in the UK. Operating with a lean and highly collaborative affiliate structure, this is an opportunity to work closely with senior leadership and directly influence launch readiness strategy.

Due to anticipated regulatory milestones, we are seeking an experienced Medical Science Liaison to cover the South of the UK.

The Role

  • This is a field-based MSL position in a rare neurological autoimmune therapy area, focused on pre-launch engagement and scientific exchange.
  • You will play a pivotal role in building the external expert network and shaping medical strategy ahead of expected market access decisions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining high-quality scientific partnerships with Key Opinion Leaders across neurology and related specialties
  • Delivering non-promotional scientific exchange on clinical data and disease management
  • Gathering and communicating actionable field insights to inform UK strategy
  • Supporting advisory boards and medical education initiatives
  • Contributing to launch preparedness within a small, agile affiliate
  • Acting as a trusted scientific partner to external stakeholders

About You

We are seeking a confident, science-driven MSL who thrives in a high-accountability environment.

You will ideally have:

  • Experience as an MSL within specialty care, rare disease, neurology or immunology
  • Strong understanding of the UK healthcare landscape and NICE processes
  • Experience building KOL relationships within a new or growing territory
  • Pre-launch experience (highly desirable)
  • A proactive and entrepreneurial mindset suited to a lean affiliate structure
  • Advanced scientific degree (PhD, PharmD, MSc or equivalent experience)

  • Territory: South UK
  • Field-based role with occasional affiliate meetings
  • Contract: 12-month rolling contract (strong potential for long-term opportunity)
  • Start date: ASAP
  • Excellent Basic plus car allowance, healthcare, pension + bonus.
