This is a pivotal UK brand leadership position within ophthalmology. Reporting directly to the UK Country Head, you will take ownership of brand strategy and execution, refining positioning and driving forward a clear, compelling UK market approach within a highly competitive environment. The business is looking for someone who can step in, take the lead, and confidently move the brand forward - aligning with global direction while ensuring the needs of the UK market are clearly represented.
Key Responsibilities- Lead UK brand strategy, planning and execution across the ophthalmology portfolio
- Refine positioning, messaging and customer strategy to maximise market impact
- Translate global strategy into locally relevant, insight-led execution
- Drive omnichannel campaigns and high-quality asset development
- Ensure alignment across Sales, Medical, Market Access and Compliance
- Own brand planning, KPIs, forecasting input and ongoing optimisation
- Thrive within a lean, fast-paced, matrix environment with high visibility
- Strong UK pharmaceutical or biotech marketing experience with brand leadership responsibility
- Ophthalmology experience strongly preferred; retina experience highly advantageous
- Comfortable operating autonomously with minimal handholding
- Confident influencing and constructively challenging regional/global stakeholders
- Strong ABPI Code understanding and compliant execution mindset
- Strategic thinker who is equally comfortable being hands-on
- Energised by ambiguity, ownership and high-impact work
- 12-month fixed-term contract with strong intent to move into a permanent position
- Fully remote UK role (occasional travel for meetings, congresses and key events as required)
