Our client is a leading independent ophthalmic company and has developed a large and complete ophthalmic product portfolio. They offer high quality ophthalmic products to ophthalmologists, nursing staff, pharmacists and optometrists specialising in Dry Eye, Blepharitis, Eye Nutritionals and Prescription products, all dedicated to improving eye health. They are now seeking a talented Internal Account Manager based full time in their Staffordshire (Keele) offices, focusing on proactively contacting both existing and new customers to drive sales across their whole product range.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Contact new and existing customers to sell the whole range of products
  • Take incoming customer orders and upsell
  • Direct opportunities to the field based Area Sales Manager (ASM) where relevant
  • Managing accounts that fall outside the ASM’s target accounts or vacant areas
  • Take and process orders in an accurate manner
  • Build and manage an accurate and compliant customer database

Candidate background required:

  • Proven experience as telesales representative or other sales / customer service role
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets
  • Good knowledge of CRM systems
  • Understanding of Excel including pivot tables and advanced formulas
  • Ability to learn about products
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Outstanding telephone manners
  • Excellent negotiation skills and able to quickly resolve issues
  • Positive, enthusiastic and energetic
  • Full UK driving licence
