Healthcare Partnership Manager – GI/Anti-infectives – Northern England
Our client is a Pharmaceutical company who are well established in the UK. Product line extensions and new product launches have seen their sales and growth continue to rapidly expand.
As part of their continued expansion in the UK they have created the role of Healthcare Partnership Manager HPM) as a commercial and market access focused function, representing the company to health care provider and payor organizations such as the executive structures of the NHS, Health and Social Care Boards. The HPM is responsible for representing their full product portfolio.
The HPM will create access opportunities at a high level within their target organizations including: payor, provider, local authority, third sector organizations, and commercial firms. They will positively influence decision makers so that they achieve optimal positions on local / regional or national guidelines and formularies.
As such the HPM is required to work with health care data and financial information, performing analysis and preparing reports for their customer organizations. They will also work in partnership with the team of Key Account Managers within their assigned geography as well as the Commercial and Medical & Regulatory Affairs team.
The role reports into the Regional Business Manager for the territory but will be responsible to the UK Leadership Team via the Head of Sales and Marketing to ensure that intelligence and tactics are known and aligned.
Candidate background required:
- Experience working in pharmaceutical sales and/or market access
- Thorough knowledge of organisations and structure of NHS locally and nationally
- Familiar with health and social care policy in local geographic regions and nationally
- Thorough working knowledge of pharmaceutical supply chain
- Strong business acumen and accomplished negotiation skills
- Strong personal presence and capable of commanding attention when meeting senior leaders in the NHS
- Be a self-motivated self-starter, with patience to accept NHS decision making timelines
- Able to understand how health policy is interpreted into deliverable objectives by local organisations of the NHS
It would be desirable to have experience of managing and coaching people, or considerable experience of leading without the power of direct line management authority.
