Account Manager – Animal Health (Large Animal) – Cheshire, Yorkshire, Staffordshire, Midlands

Our client is a leading animal health company, dedicated to supporting its customers and their businesses. Building on more than 65 years of experience in animal health, they discover, develop, manufacture and commercialize medicines, vaccines and diagnostic products, which are complemented by biodevices, genetic tests, and a range of services.

In 2018, the company generated annual revenue of $5.8 billion with approximately 10,000 employees.

The purpose of this field-based position is to sell designated product lines for Production animals (cows, sheep) to an agreed portfolio of customers; veterinary practices and direct to farmers.

The person in the role is required to develop mutually beneficial and productive long-term partnerships and to maintain these relationships with the appropriate quantity & quality of activity.

The territory covers the whole of the area outlined above, but the practices and the circa 25 key accounts covered are specifically targeted; there is scope for some hybrid working combining virtual and face to face meetings with customers.

The ideal candidate will have a documented track record of success within the UK Animal or Human Health industry, having promoted either Pharmaceuticals or Devices OR alternatively may be someone with a desire to work in sales from a background in Agriculture, Livestock, Production Animals or the Equine sector.
