Account Manager – Ophthalmology – South West England/Wessex
Our client is a leading independent ophthalmic company and has developed a large and complete ophthalmic pharmaceutical portfolio. They offer high quality ophthalmic products to ophthalmologists, nursing staff, pharmacists and optometrists specialising in Dry Eye, Blepharitis, Eye Nutritionals and Prescription products, all dedicated to improving eye health.
They are now seeking a talented Account Manager to have responsibility for growth their glaucoma pharmaceutical business in the Southwest & Wessex territory.
Key responsibilities include:
- Achieve Sales vs Target and acquire new formularies
- Develop and maintain relationships with key customers in both the NHS and private sector
- To have a full understanding of the customer, their needs and their environment in each Key Account
- To create a clear and effective stakeholder map per account, including decision makers, influencers and access generators
- To create detailed individual customer plans which lead to win:win solutions for both the customer and the organisation.
- To conduct effective and challenging customer interactions which progresses account objectives and enhances partnership working.
- Take ownership of understanding the NHS environment, the customers and their environment
Candidate background required:
- Flexible “can do” attitude needed to thrive in a fast-growing company
- Able to influence NHS staff at the highest levels
- Ability to take an account management approach to managing territory business
- Ability to manage the demands of a portfolio of products
- Proven record of achieving sales success
- Ability to reach the highest standards in training & compliance
