We are recruiting on behalf of a well‑established and growing client who is looking for a motivated and practical Trainee Garage Door Installer to join their expanding company in the Exeter area.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys hands‑on work and wants to develop a long‑term career in a skilled trade. You’ll work alongside experienced Install Engineers, learning how to install residential roller doors and related products to the highest standards of safety, quality, and customer service. Full training will be provided.
What You’ll Be Doing
Installation Support & Training
- Assisting with residential roller door and related product installations
- Learning correct installation techniques under the supervision of experienced engineers
- Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards
Team Collaboration
- Working closely with Install Engineers, the Direct Sales team, and Surveyors
- Learning how to identify site conditions and potential installation challenges
Health, Safety & Quality
- Following all health, safety, and company procedures at all times
- Learning quality control and regulatory standards
- Assisting with completing job documentation and reports
Problem Solving & Development
- Supporting senior engineers with troubleshooting basic installation issues
- Assisting with remedial and after‑sales work
- Attending training courses, field reviews, and technical feedback sessions

Training & Benefits
Training start date: 11TH May 2026
- 2‑week initial training programme in Leeds
- All training and accommodation costs covered by the client
Pay & Extras
- £27,500 per annum plus bonus
- Overtime paid at time and a half (over 40 hours)
- Optional Saturday work available for additional earnings
