Chase Taylor Recruitment are working with an established and growing business within the building products and manufacturing sector. We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to lead the day-to-day warehouse operation and ensure high standards of safety, stock control, picking accuracy and customer service.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on Warehouse Supervisor who enjoys leading a team, improving processes and working in a fast-paced environment.
The Role
- As Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for coordinating warehouse activities, ensuring finished goods are accurately picked, loaded and despatched on time.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supervising and supporting the warehouse team daily.
- Planning and organising warehouse workloads.
- Maintaining high standards of picking accuracy and stock control.
- Ensuring customer orders are fulfilled and despatched on time.
- Monitoring warehouse KPIs and driving performance improvements.
- Maintaining excellent housekeeping and 5S standards.
- Identifying and implementing process improvements.
- Using and maintaining accurate WMS data.Training, coaching and developing warehouse employees.
- Supporting the introduction of new warehouse processes and technology.
- Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety requirements.
- Resolving stock issues, picking errors and non-conformances quickly.
- Promoting a positive culture of continuous improvement.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- 3+ years' experience in a warehouse supervisory or leadership role.
- Experience working within a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Good knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Strong understanding of stock control, picking and despatch processes.
- Experience with 5S and continuous improvement.
- Strong communication and team leadership skills.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.A hands-on, organised and proactive approach.
- The ability to lead by example and drive improvements
- IOSH Managing Safely and relevant warehouse/supervisory qualifications would be advantageous but are not essential.
