Working for a high-volume GRP Products Manufacturing company supplying the construction market, this role is to ensure the smooth operation of plant and equipment by responding to breakdowns, carrying out planned maintenance, and supporting the continuous improvement of the site’s operational reliability and safety.

Key Accountabilities

  • Diagnose and repair faults on machinery and equipment across the facility.
  • Respond swiftly and effectively to unplanned breakdowns to minimise downtime.
  • Prioritise repair tasks in coordination with management during multiple equipment failures.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and installation projects in line with schedules.
  • Ensure all work complies with legal standards and company safety protocols.
  • Accurately log maintenance activities and data in the CMMS system.
  • Maintain high-quality workmanship and contribute to ongoing process improvement.
  • Monitor, report and request restocking of critical spare parts.
  • Keep workshop and stores areas clean, organised, and safe.
  • Adhere strictly to the company’s Health & Safety Charter and working practices.
  • Operate within the department’s principles of time, ability, and safety.

  • Proven experience in maintenance engineering or a similar technical role.
  • Competency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical systems.
