Chase Taylor are recruiting for an experienced Stock Controller to join a busy manufacturing warehouse specialising in uPVC windows and doors, aluminium bifolds, and aluminium sliding systems. This role is key to ensuring efficient stock management, accurate inventory levels, and smooth workflow throughout the manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar stock control role within the fenestration industry, as this knowledge is essential for success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain accurate stock levels of materials, components, and finished products.
- Conduct regular stock checks, cycle counts, and full stock audits.
- Ensure all stock movements are accurately recorded on the system.
- Monitor incoming deliveries, check for accuracy, and liaise with suppliers regarding discrepancies.
- Work closely with production teams to ensure materials are available to meet manufacturing schedules.
- Organise and maintain a clean, safe, and efficient warehouse environment.
- Identify stock shortages, delays, and potential issues and elevate them promptly.
- Ensure FIFO (first in, first out) processes are followed across all material types.
- Support continuous improvement within the warehouse and stock control processes.
- Assist with booking in/out materials, labelling, and managing storage locations.
Skills & Experience Needed:
- Previous experience as a Stock Controller within the fenestration industry is essential (uPVC, aluminium, windows, doors).
- Strong understanding of manufacturing warehouse environments.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data recording.
- Competent using stock management systems and Microsoft Office.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work proactively and manage workload in a fast-paced environment.
Working Pattern:
Full-time, on-site role within the manufacturing warehouse. Occasional flexibility during busy production periods may be required.
