Job Title: Order Processor – uPVC Windows & Doors

Reports To: Operations Manager / Production Manager

Job Summary

The Order Processor is responsible for accurately processing customer orders for uPVC windows and doors from quotation through to production. This role requires strong attention to detail, technical understanding of window and door specifications, and proficiency in industry software including Business Micros and Window Designer. The position acts as a critical link between sales, manufacturing, and installation teams to ensure orders are correct, complete, and delivered on time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and process customer orders for uPVC windows and doors using Business Micros and Window Designer
  • Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and surveyor notes to ensure accuracy of orders
  • Input and configure products within Window Designer, including sizes, styles, glazing, hardware, and finishesVerify pricing, materials, and manufacturing requirements before order release
  • Liaise with sales teams, surveyors, and customers to resolve discrepancies or missing information
  • Generate production paperwork, cutting lists, and order confirmations
  • Coordinate with manufacturing teams to ensure orders are production‑ready
  • Track order progress and update internal systems accordingly
  • Handle amendments, variations, and reworks efficiently
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, building regulations, and industry requirements
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for all processed orders

Key Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in order processing within the window and door industry (uPVC preferred)
  • Strong working knowledge of Business Micros and Window Designer software
  • Good technical understanding of window and door products, components, and configurations
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Effective communication skills across internal teams and customers
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Desirable Skills

  • Knowledge of aluminium or composite door systems
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes for fenestration products
  • Experience working with survey data and installation requirements
  • Understanding of UK building regulations related to windows and doors
