A growing national manufacturer of conservatories is currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Conservatory Installations Inspector/Onsite Support Engineer to join a field-based team. The role involves overseeing conservatory installations carried out by approved and pre-approved members of the ‘Approved Installer Network’, providing advice and guidance where necessary to ensure a first-class installation and exceptional service to customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Travel nationally to customers' properties throughout parts of England and Wales.
  • Attendance onsite prior to and during the whole conservatory installation process to provide installers with advice, assistance, and guidance, to ensure a first-class build and finish.
  • Share technical expertise from the onset of the installation process through to installation completion.
  • Communicate with customers and installers throughout the conservatory installation process to ensure total customer satisfaction.
  • The accurate reporting, administration, and communication of installer competence, quality, and workmanship.
  • Collate evidence regarding installations, with the ability to identify installation errors and incorrect processes, possessing a confidence to consult installers regarding these inaccuracies, in a professional manner.
  • Conduct quality/spot checks, at random, on previously approved installers.
  • Collaborate with other conservatory installation inspectors/onsite support engineers to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Execute service calls/reports to a high standard along with the rectification of installation issues, as and when required.
  • The majority of time will be spent on-site, averaging 3 - 4 days per site visit, this will require regular overnight stays away from home.

Requirements:

  • Recent experience within the same or a similar role requiring fitting skills for a range of conservatories designs and roof systems (including solid tiled roofs).
  • Experience in the installation of steel bases is desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of conservatory installation equipment, tooling, and processes.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving onsite installation issues.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively manage time and resources.
  • Willingness to travel nationally and regularly complete overnight stays.
  • Good industry product knowledge with a drive, ambition, and determination to develop technical knowledge of the products we supply and manufacture.
  • The ability to develop good working relationships with both colleagues and installers.
  • The ability to successfully follow processes and deliver required and measurable results.
