The Role
As Quality Control Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing quality processes across the business, managing customer quality concerns through to resolution, leading a small field-based quality team, and working closely with the factory to identify and prevent recurring issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the main point of contact for customer quality concerns and complaints, ensuring issues are resolved professionally and efficiently.
- Investigate product and installation issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective corrective actions.
- Manage, coach and support a team of two Quality Controllers who travel throughout the UK carrying out inspections and quality assessments.
- Review quality trends and provide regular reports and recommendations to senior management.
- Work closely with factory and production teams to identify opportunities for improvement and prevent quality issues before they occur.
- Develop and maintain quality control procedures and best practices.
- Monitor service standards and ensure customer expectations are consistently exceeded. Coordinate field inspections and ensure all investigations are completed within agreed timescales.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement across all areas of the business.
About You
- Previous experience in a Quality Control, Quality Assurance or Quality Management role.
- Experience managing and developing a small team.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong investigative and analytical abilities with a focus on root cause analysis. The ability to build effective working relationships across operational and manufacturing teams.
- A proactive approach with a passion for delivering high standards. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. Competence using Microsoft Office and reporting systems.
- A full UK driving licence.
