An opportunity has arisen for a Lead Auditor within the fenestration industry. This role involves auditing manufacturing facilities to ensure compliance with energy rating performance certification requirements for window and door products. This position would suit someone with technical knowledge of windows, doors, glazing, or fenestration systems who is interested in a role focused on auditing, certification, and technical compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake annual on-site audits of manufacturing facilities belonging to current licence holders to verify compliance with energy rating certification requirements.
- Conduct pre-approval audits of manufacturers applying for certification.
- Prepare and submit detailed audit reports evaluating conformity and recommending certification outcomes.
- Perform follow-up audits to verify that corrective actions have been implemented where non-conformities are identified.
- Conduct technical reviews of Initial Type Testing (ITT) reports.
- Provide technical guidance to manufacturers while remaining within scheme limitations.
- Complete all associated auditing documentation including database updates, reporting, and diary management.
- Promote the requirements of fenestration certification schemes.
- Contribute to the development of internal schemes and technical knowledge.

- Maintain accurate, complete, and timely documentation of audit findings and recommendations.
- Uphold a high level of professionalism, impartiality, and consistency across all audits and communications.

- Provide clear technical feedback and guidance to manufacturers to support continuous improvement.
- Maintain awareness of scheme limitations and ensure compliance with relevant certification and accreditation procedures.
Requirements
- Experience within the window, door, glazing, or fenestration industry.
- Strong technical understanding of manufacturing processes, product performance, or compliance standards.
- Experience conducting audits, inspections, or technical assessments would be advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to interpret technical documentation and reports.
