The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Production Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the manufacturing operation. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll ensure production targets are achieved safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards, while driving continuous improvement across the factory. Working closely with the senior management team, you'll play a key role in maintaining operational performance, developing production teams and supporting the continued growth of the business.
The Role
- Managing the daily production operation, ensuring manufacturing schedules are met and maintaining high standards of quality throughout the factory.
- Leading and developing production teams, monitoring performance, and working closely with Planning, Warehouse and Transport to ensure customer orders are manufactured and delivered on time.
- Monitoring production KPIs, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, reducing waste and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
- Focusing on Health & Safety, maintaining excellent housekeeping standards and ensuring machinery is operating safely in conjunction with the Engineering team.
- Resolving production issues quickly, supporting employee training and development, and helping create a positive, high-performing culture across the manufacturing operation.
About You
We're looking for an experienced Production Manager or Manufacturing Manager with a strong background in fast-paced manufacturing. You'll be a confident leader who enjoys developing teams, improving processes and delivering results. Experience within the window, door or wider fenestration industry would be highly advantageous, although candidates from similar manufacturing environments will also be considered. A good understanding of lean manufacturing principles, continuous improvement and production planning is essential, along with strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills. Experience with ERP or production planning systems would also be beneficial.
