We are recruiting for a Commercial Sales Manager to join a specialist UK provider of high-quality aluminium windows, doors, and curtain walling systems. Offering a complete end-to-end service, they support their clients through design, manufacture, installation, and ongoing maintenance. The projects span new build and refurbishment schemes across the commercial and residential sectors, including school extensions, social housing, residential blocks, and student accommodation. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Commercial Sales Manager to develop and manage business opportunities across the West Midlands.

Role Overview

The Commercial Sales Manager will be responsible for generating and managing sales opportunities for aluminium glazing systems across the region. The role involves developing relationships with key stakeholders, identifying upcoming projects, managing the full sales lifecycle, and working closely with internal design, estimating, and delivery teams to secure profitable work.

Business Development & Sales

  • Identify and develop new commercial opportunities within the West Midlands region
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with main contractors, developers, architects, consultants, and housing associations
  • Actively target projects across new build and refurbishment sectors, including education, social housing, residential, and student accommodation
  • Attend client meetings, site visits, and design team meetings as required

Project & Bid Management

  • Manage the sales process from initial enquiry through to contract award
  • Work closely with estimating and design teams to prepare accurate and competitive tenders
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with clients

Account Management

  • Maintain strong ongoing client relationships to encourage repeat business
  • Act as the primary commercial contact for clients during pre-contract stages
  • Ensure smooth handover of secured projects to operations and delivery teams

Market & Pipeline Management

  • Maintain an up-to-date sales pipeline and CRM records
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and upcoming regional developments
  • Provide regular sales forecasts and performance reports to senior management

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience in commercial sales within the aluminium glazing, façade, curtain walling, or building envelope sector
  • Background working with main contractors, developers, or public sector clients
  • Strong understanding of construction project procurement and tendering processes
  • Established network within the West Midlands construction market
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated, organised, and results-driven
  • Full UK driving licence
