We are working alongside an established and growing business within the window and door industry, specialising in the design, manufacture, and supply of high-quality aluminium window and door systems. Our portfolio includes aluminium windows, bifold doors, sliding doors, and commercial glazing solutions for both residential and commercial projects. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Aluminium Estimator to join our team in Nottingham.
The Role
The Aluminium Estimator will play a key role in supporting the sales and commercial functions by producing accurate and competitive quotations for aluminium window and door projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing detailed quotations for aluminium windows, doors, bifolds, and glazing systems
- Interpreting architectural drawings, specifications, and tender documents
- Liaising with suppliers, fabricators, and internal teams to ensure accurate pricing
- Producing take-offs and material schedules
- Supporting sales with technical and pricing queries
- Maintaining accurate records of quotes, revisions, and costs
- Ensuring estimates meet margin and commercial targets
The Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience as an Estimator within the window and door industry
- Strong knowledge of aluminium systems (windows, doors, bifolds, sliding doors)
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Familiarity with aluminium system houses (e.g. Schüco, Reynaers, Smart, Cortizo, AluK – or similar)
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Confident communicator with good organisational skills
- Experience using estimating or quotation software (advantageous but not essential)
