Chase Taylor Recruitment are working on behalf of a growing and established specialist within the aluminium and steel door, window and façade industry, who are looking to recruit an experienced Draughtsman to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Draughtsman, CAD Draughtsman, Technical Draughtsman or Design Draughtsman with a background in aluminium and/or steel systems. The successful candidate will produce detailed technical drawings for live projects while working closely with clients, contractors, architects and internal teams. Key Responsibilities * Produce accurate technical and CAD drawings for aluminium and steel systems. * Prepare manufacturing, fabrication and installation drawings. * Work from architectural drawings, specifications and project information. * Review technical information and identify potential issues. * Manage drawing packages and project deadlines. * Complete technical amendments and drawing revisions. * Liaise directly with clients, contractors and architects. * Understand project requirements and manage client expectations. * Provide technical support to production and project teams. * Manage multiple projects from initial information through to completion. * Ensure drawings are accurate and produced to a consistently high standard. Essential Experience * Previous experience within the aluminium and/or steel door and window industry. * Experience working with one or more of the following systems: Forster, Schüco, Jansen or Aluprof. * Strong understanding of aluminium and/or steel doors, windows and associated systems. * Experience producing technical drawings for live projects. * Experience within the façade, architectural glazing, commercial glazing or fenestration industry would be advantageous. The Ideal Candidate * Experienced as a Draughtsman, CAD Draughtsman, Technical Draughtsman or Design Draughtsman. * Strong technical drawing and detailing ability. * Confident working with system-based designs. * Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. * Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines. * Confident communicating with clients and contractors. * Commercially aware and able to understand project requirements. * Proactive, reliable and capable of working independently. * Comfortable taking ownership of projects. Working Arrangement This is a hybrid role, with approximately 2–3 days per week in the office and the remainder working from home where appropriate.
