We are recruiting for a well-established and successful manufacturing facility based in Benfleet, Essex, specialising in the production of high-quality uPVC windows and doors. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Window and Door Fabricator to join our skilled production team.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for the fabrication and assembly of uPVC windows and doors to a high standard, ensuring all products meet quality specifications, production targets, and health & safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricating uPVC windows and doors in line with production drawings and specifications
- Cutting, routing, welding, and assembling uPVC profiles
- Fitting hardware including hinges, handles, locks, and mechanisms
- Glazing units accurately and securely
- Operating fabrication machinery such as saws, welders, routers, and corner cleaners
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings and work orders
- Carrying out quality checks to ensure products meet company standards
- Identifying and reporting faults, defects, or material issues
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work area
- Working efficiently to meet daily production targets and deadlines
- Adhering to all health and safety procedures within the factory
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience as a window and door fabricator, ideally within a uPVC manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of uPVC profiles, components, and fabrication processes
- Ability to work from technical drawings and specifications
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Experience using fabrication machinery and hand tools
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual, and motivated with a strong work ethic
