We are working on behalf of an established UPVC window and door manufacturing business seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer / Site Engineer. This is a varied, hands-on role responsible for maintaining and repairing specialist UPVC fabrication machinery as well as supporting general site and facilities maintenance. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring maximum equipment uptime and smooth day-to-day production operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on UPVC fabrication machinery
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults
- Respond quickly to breakdowns to minimise production downtime
- Install, commission, and relocate machinery when required
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and service schedules
- Liaise with external suppliers and contractors where necessary
- Carry out general building and facilities maintenance tasks
- Maintain site services including lighting, heating, compressed air systems, and utilities
- Undertake minor repairs to buildings, fixtures, and equipment
