We are seeking an experienced and reliable Service Engineer to join a well-established team, specialising in the servicing, repair, and adjustment of uPVC, Aluminium, and Sash window and door systems. This role involves working on both domestic and commercial properties.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, service, and repair faults on uPVC, aluminium, and sash windows and doors
- Adjust and repair sash mechanisms, balances, cords, and locks
- Replace and adjust hardware including hinges, handles, locks, rollers, and mechanisms
- Attend customer sites to resolve service and warranty issues efficiently
- Carry out glazing adjustments and remedial works where required
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in line with company procedures
- Communicate professionally with customers and colleagues
- Complete job reports and paperwork accurately
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience servicing uPVC, Aluminium, and Sash windows and doors
- Strong knowledge of window and door hardware and locking systems
- Experience working with sash balances, cords, and restrictors
- Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
Desirable (but not essential)
- Experience with bi-fold and sliding door systems
- Experience with traditional or heritage sash windows
- CSCS card
- Glazing experience
- Previous service or remedial engineer role
