Chase Taylor Recruitment are excited to be working with a forward-thinking and successful fenestration business who are looking to expand their team. They are looking for an experienced Estimator who has experience estimating aluminium windows and doors, although steel estimating would be preferred, within the commercial, trade, and domestic sectors.

Our client has been trading for over 20 years, growing and expanding year on year. They manufacture, supply, and install uPVC, aluminium, steel, and composite windows, doors, and conservatories.

The right candidate for this position will have a strong background estimating aluminium/steel windows and doors.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Estimating for steel constructed fire rated glazing systems
  • Viewing plans and specifications
  • Measuring and quantifying take offs
  • Tendering multiple projects simultaneously
  • Liaising with clients/suppliers in the compiling of tender/Quote/Variations
  • Attending site for client meetings and measuring
  • Preparation of Quotes and associated documents for submission
  • Timely and accurate costing of submissions
  • Ensuring completed quotes comply with specification and design briefs
  • Client relationship nurturing and building
  • Following up estimates, negotiating and securing orders
  • Working closely with team members to ensure quotes and deadlines are achieved

Candidates’ skills & experience:

  • Demonstrable Estimating experience gained with Glazing systems, preferably knowledge of fire rated steel constructed glazing systems
  • Strong administration skills with the ability to work proficiently on MS Excel and other related packages
  • Astute, commercially minded, numerate, and well organised and able to work to deadlines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to understand and interpret plans and diagrams
  • Knowledge of Certifire, SchüCal, or Loigkal would also be preferred
  • Must have a full UK driving license
