We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing manufacturing business for a Continuous Improvement Engineer to join their site in Telford. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on CI professional to take ownership of driving operational excellence across manufacturing and warehousing, delivering measurable improvements in quality, cost, delivery, and safety.
The Role
As Continuous Improvement Engineer, you will play a key role in embedding a culture of continuous improvement and right-first-time performance across the site. You’ll lead initiatives that enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall service levels to customers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading continuous improvement and lean manufacturing activities across the site
- Driving shop-floor improvements using tools such as 5S, waste elimination, standard work, and TPM
- Delivering measurable improvements in cost, quality, and lead times
- Leading projects involving new equipment, processes, and product introduction
- Championing safety, quality, and operational best practice
- Coaching and developing teams in CI tools and structured problem solving (PDCA)
- Monitoring and improving performance against SQDCPE KPIs
