Order Processor – Windows, Doors & Glazing

Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Order Processor to join our busy operations team.

The Role

As an Order Processor, you will play a key role in ensuring customer projects are delivered accurately and on time.

You will be responsible for processing quotations and orders for a wide range of u PVC, aluminium and glazing products, working closely with customers, account managers, production teams and suppliers.

This is a technical, customer-focused position that requires excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills and the ability to interpret product specifications and technical drawings.

You will support customers throughout the ordering process, ensuring products are manufactured to the correct specifications and delivered within agreed timescales.

The successful candidate will become a trusted point of contact for customers, providing technical guidance, resolving queries and helping to deliver an outstanding customer experience from enquiry through to project completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process customer orders accurately for windows, doors, glazing, roof systems, bi-fold doors and associated products.
  • Prepare detailed quotations based on customer specifications and project requirements.
  • Interpret technical drawings, schedules and customer specifications to ensure manufacturing accuracy.
  • Provide technical advice on products, glazing options, hardware and system configurations.
  • Liaise with customers to confirm dimensions, specifications, delivery requirements and any amendments.
  • Work closely with the sales, estimating, production and purchasing departments to ensure projects run smoothly.
  • Monitor customer orders throughout the manufacturing process, ensuring deadlines are achieved.
  • Resolve order discrepancies, technical queries and customer concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  • Update and maintain customer records using internal order processing and ERP systems.
  • Ensure all orders comply with current product specifications and industry standards.
  • Coordinate with logistics teams to arrange deliveries and communicate lead times to customers.
  • Support account managers by providing technical assistance and processing project documentation.
  • Maintain excellent communication with customers throughout every stage of their project.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance the customer experience.

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Previous experience within the window, door, glazing or fenestration industry.
  • Experience processing technical orders in a manufacturing or trade environment.
  • Strong understanding of u PVC and aluminium window and door systems.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritise workloads in a fast-paced environment.
  • Competent using Microsoft Office and order processing software.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and product specifications.

Desirable

  • Experience using Business Micros (Evolution), Logi Kal or similar fenestration software.
  • Knowledge of glazing specifications and Building Regulations.
  • Experience working with trade customers, installers or fabricators.
  • Technical product knowledge of roof lanterns, bi-fold doors, composite doors and curtain walling.
