Job Overview
To support the delivery of effective IT services across the business by providing day-to-day technical support, assisting with system maintenance, equipment setup, and user support. The role will involve contributing to the secure, efficient, and reliable operation of IT systems, following established procedures, and working closely with internal teams to deliver a responsive and customer-focused IT service.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-line IT support to users, responding to queries in a timely and professional manner
- Log, monitor, and manage support requests through to resolution
- Maintain accurate records of issues, solutions, and recurring problems
- Assist with routine maintenance and monitoring of IT systems
- Support software and system updates where required
- Rebuild, service, and troubleshoot PCs and related IT equipment
- Ensure software compliance, licensing, and correct usage across systems
- Maintain accurate hardware and software asset records
- Assist with installation and configuration of IT equipment, software, and user accounts
- Support backup systems and data recovery processes
- Help maintain IT security, confidentiality, and data integrity
- Assist with IT projects, system upgrades, and improvements
- Participate in training and development activities to build technical capability
Skills & Experience Required
- Interest in IT and desire to build a career in technical support
- Basic experience with computer hardware, software, and business applications
- Understanding of PC components, peripherals, and basic troubleshooting
- Experience supporting users with IT issues (work, education, or personal projects) desirable
- Awareness of data security, confidentiality, and compliance standards
- Ability to follow procedures, work independently, and manage workload effectively
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to support users at all levels in a professional manner
- Exposure to system installation, device setup, or software configuration beneficial
- Experience or awareness of manufacturing environments (windows/doors industry) advantageous
