Due to planned growth, Chase Plant Hire Ltd is currently recruiting for a construction Plant Fitter to work alongside our Plant team covering various sites located in the West Midlands and surrounding counties. We’re looking for an individual who can work on their own initiative and can balance various tasks simultaneously, all whilst maintaining the highest Health and Safety standards.
You will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing faults on construction plant including Excavators, Dumpers and Compaction Equipment. You will need to have extensive knowledge of auto‑electrics, transmissions, hydraulics and pneumatics. Additionally, you will be responsible for the maintenance of smaller tools including disc cutters, generators and electrical tools.
The Role- Covering West Midlands and surrounding areas, working with the team at the branch.
- To service and repair plant in accordance with Company and Manufacturers Service Schedules.
- Complete all relevant pre‑hire checks and complete related paperwork.
- Carry out scheduled Service Inspections and servicing on plant in compliance with all Company Policies and Procedures.
- To diagnose faults and carry out mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and any other repairs on vehicles and plant.
- To complete Maintenance Records and Reports accurately and on time.
- To conduct all activities in accordance with Company Policy and Procedures.
Applicants must be excellent time keepers and have a flexible attitude to work.
Essential Qualifications- Experience Driving Licence
- CSCS Card
- NVQ 2 or NVQ 3 Construction Plant Maintenance & Repair or similar
- CITB Testing and Inspection (including the thorough examination of plant) or similar
