Part-time OR Full-Time Respiratory Practice Nurse Opportunity, South Yorkshire (Rotherham/Barnsley). The opportunity has arisen for Practice Nurses/Primary Care Specialist Nurses, who have a particular interest in respiratory conditions, to join an independent, nationwide service. This group are looking for a nurse to work either part-time OR full-time and are happy to provide support/training/funding to the right candidate.

This opportunity is particularly unique, in that you’d be providing support to surgeries and patients in a city-wide radius, rather than based at a particular site, so you must be comfortable travelling up to two hours (on occasion - most clinics based within a 30-90 minute drive). You must hold a full UK driving license as a company car will be provided, or a car allowance depending on your preference.

Daily duties might include:

  • Performing patient audits
  • Delivering specialist clinics
  • Providing mentorship and support to general practice staff

Requirements:

Ideally, you'll hold a further qualification in COPD/Asthma, as well as have reasonable experience performing/interpreting Spirometry. If you do not hold a qualification in these areas, you must have a minimum of 3 years managing respiratory conditions and conducting long-term respiratory reviews within Primary Care.

For the right candidate, support, training and funding can be provided towards gaining further respiratory diplomas, as well as ARTP Spirometry qualification.
