A large and progressive Primary Care Network in Slough is looking to appoint an experienced Operations Director to oversee operational delivery across nine practices supporting approximately 82,000 patients. This is a senior leadership opportunity within a complex and expanding organisation, requiring a strategic and operational leader who can drive performance, ensure compliance, and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the healthcare system. The successful candidate will act as the main point of contact between the ICB and the PCN Directors, playing a key role in service delivery, governance, and operational performance across the network.
The Role
- You will be responsible for overseeing operational services across the PCN, ensuring high standards of performance, compliance, and patient care delivery across all sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead operational management across multiple practices within the PCN
- Oversee delivery of enhanced services and out-of-hours operations
- Ensure full CQC compliance and strong governance processes across the network
- Act as the key liaison between the ICB and PCN Directors
- Support service development, performance improvement, and operational strategy
- Work closely with clinical and non-clinical leadership teams across all practices
- Monitor operational performance and support effective resource planning
- Drive consistency, collaboration, and high standards across all sites
About You
- Experienced senior operational leader within primary care or PCN settings
- Strong understanding of PCN operations, enhanced services, and NHS structures
- Excellent knowledge of CQC and regulatory requirements
- Confident managing relationships with external stakeholders including ICBs
- Experienced overseeing multi-site operations within complex healthcare environments
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Able to balance strategic oversight with hands-on operational management
