A highly reputable GP surgery in Swansea is seeking an experienced Paramedic to join their team on a contracted, part-time basis for 5 days per week, however they would also consider full time if over 5 days too. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident Paramedic with primary care experience who is comfortable working autonomously and is looking to become part of a stable, supportive practice. The surgery places strong emphasis on staff wellbeing, development, and continuity of care, offering a positive working environment where nurses are genuinely valued.
The Role
You will work independently while being fully supported by an experienced multidisciplinary team, conducting home and care home visits. Ideally, you would be a prescribing Paramedic but would consider applicants without prescribing.
About the Practice
- Patient list size of approximately 13,300, allowing for meaningful continuity of care
- Supportive and well-established clinical team, including: 4 GP Partners, 4 salaried GPs, ANP, PA, 4 Practice Nurses, 3 HCA, Pharmacy technician.
The team is known for being welcoming and hands-on, with support available to help you quickly settle into their systems and processes. They are a very friendly team with a good broad range of demographic meaning the successful applicant will gain an excellent insight and experience of working in Primary Care, something a number of clusters and practices are looking at for diversification. As such, having a fixed term placement with them will provide you with an invaluable experience of working within Primary Care which will serve you well in future endeavours.
