A well-established GP practice in Leighton Buzzard is seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Dispenser to join their friendly dispensary team. This vacancy has arisen due to the previous Lead Dispenser leaving the practice. The practice supports approximately 4,800 patients, with around half of the patient population being dispensed to directly by the surgery.
You will be working alongside 3 other dispensers in a supportive and collaborative environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident dispenser looking to take the next step in their career within Primary Care.
The Lead Dispenser will be responsible for supporting the smooth running of the dispensary, ensuring safe, efficient and patient-focused dispensing services, and working closely with GPs, management and the wider practice team.
The ideal candidate will be organised, proactive and a strong team player with experience in a GP dispensary setting. To be considered for this role, you MUST hold an NVQ Level 2 in Dispensing Services (or equivalent) and have significant dispensing experience within Primary Care. Experience supervising or supporting staff and knowledge of EMIS would be advantageous.
