We are working with one of our fast growing, successful family owned manufacturing clients in Brighouse, who have a great opportunity for a candidate with ambition as a Site Finance Manager. This is a really exciting newly created opportunity post a recent acquisition. You will be working for a reputable business who offers excellent career opportunities and a chance to make a real impact.
A key member of the Site Leadership Team, helping to drive the business forward in a profitable manner, offering valuable insights and process improvement through accurate and timely reporting to both internal and external stakeholders. Taking the lead on financial matters and ensuring delivery of business and operational objectives.
Responsibilities will include:
- Finance business partner and advisor to the Business Unit Lead and General Manager taking lead on financial matters and ensuring delivery of business objectives
- Preparation of the Weekly / Monthly accounts, supporting KPI’s, variance analysis and commentary for financial performance
- Drive improvements to performance and procedures, through identification of relevant data, reporting and CI planning
- Develop and maintain costings of all live SKUs to capture key, raw materials, labour and supply chain information
- Provide accurate new product costings in a timely manner to support the NPD Process
- Responsibility for tracking in year savings for all CI initiatives and capital proposals
- Working closely with the Site Leadership Team to produce robust budget and in year forecasts, including review pack which summarises key assumptions
- Ad hoc, proactive investigation, reports, capital proposals and financial propositions relevant to business / function strategy and performance
- Be the key finance support for overhead spend approval and reporting, holding regular reviews with stakeholders with the focus on spending control
- Complete monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations and group reporting pack
The ideal candidate will be:
- A qualified / later stages PQ accountant (CIMA or ACCA) or strong QBE, with good experience within a manufacturing environment, ideally FMCG.
- A confident communicator, a negotiator and able to influence decision-making.
- Demonstrable understanding of operational issues and the impact on commercial decision making.
- Continuous improvement mentality.
- A driven individual who wants to make a real difference.
