Experienced Associate Property Manager

Location: South West London

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday (hybrid role once settling period has been passed)

Salary: £38,000 - £40,000 per annum + Commission

We are currently recruiting for a Property Manager to join our thriving Property Management Department. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in property management and thrive working under pressure. We are looking for an energetic individual who takes pride in delivering exceptional service levels and enjoys a fast-paced, high volume environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Embrace and promote the Chestertons brand and core values.
  • Act in the best interests of landlords, protecting and enhancing the value of their assets.
  • Maximise portfolio retention through exceptional client relationship management.
  • Prioritise, coordinate, and resolve urgent maintenance issues, including floods, boiler breakdowns, leaks, and appliance failures.
  • Review and assess contractor quotations to ensure quality, value, and suitability on behalf of clients.
  • Conduct property inspections and produce detailed reports with clear recommendations and added value for landlords.
  • Negotiate tenancy deposit deductions fairly, efficiently, and within required timeframes.
  • Meet and exceed departmental KPIs and performance targets.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive records on internal systems, ensuring all notes and documentation are updated consistently.
  • Effectively manage and follow up on tasks to ensure issues are resolved promptly and service continuity is maintained.
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of client accounts, statements, and financial processes.
  • Attend local branch meetings and carry out property inspections in accordance with departmental requirements.
  • Participate in regular one-to-one meetings with senior management.
  • Work collaboratively with Lettings, Compliance, Accounts, and Tenancy Progression teams to deliver an outstanding customer experience.
  • Support the development and success of colleagues through knowledge sharing and teamwork.
  • Ensure all managed properties remain fully compliant with current legislation, including Gas Safety and EICR requirements.
  • Adhere to departmental policies, procedures, and service standards.
  • Manage the end‑of‑tenancy process, ensuring landlords and tenants are kept fully informed throughout.
  • Provide guidance and support regarding deposit dilapidations and dispute resolution.
