We’re looking for an experienced HR Operations Manager to help design, embed and operationalise our core people processes. This role is about getting the fundamentals right, making people management simple, consistent and embedded into everyday business operations. You’ll translate strategy into practical processes, ownership models and data-driven insight that allow leaders and HR teams to operate effectively in a fast-paced, multi-site environment. Key Responsibilities
- Redesign and simplify key people processes (performance, absence, probation, ER hand-offs)
- Clarify ownership between managers, HR and employees
- Remove duplication and unnecessary complexity
- Ensure processes work in a fast-paced, multi-site business
- Embed performance reviews into business-as-usual operations
- Simplify tools, timelines and guidance for consistent application
- Monitor completion and quality across the business
- Partner with L&D to align learning with performance processes
- Map the full employee lifecycle from joiner to leaver
- Identify pain points and inconsistencies
- Prioritise and coordinate improvements across HR Ops, L&D and TA
- Track impact on retention, engagement and ER risk
- Support employee forums and engagement governance
- Ensure action planning and “You Said, We Did” discipline
- Track delivery of engagement commitments
- Improve HR data quality and ownership
- Embed standard workforce dashboards
- Produce regular insight reports and hotspot analysis
- Support workforce planning through actionable data
- Embed people management standards into daily operations
- Align policies, toolkits and processes
- Act as the operational link between policy design and HR delivery

- Strong background in HR operations or people operations
- Proven experience simplifying and embedding processes at scale
- Experience embedding performance frameworks into BAU
- Pragmatic, delivery-focused approach
- Experience in multi-site or sales-driven environments
- Payroll knowledge and provider liaison experience
