This role reports to the Group AML Team Leader & Deputy MLRO. The role is crucial in supporting Campions Group's commitment to robust AML processes and ensuring compliance with the Money Laundering Regulations 2017 as amended and other financial crime-related regulations.
Responsibilities
- Administering the AML electronic & CRM systems, processing new user/leaver account opening/closing requests, and re-verifying existing users.
- Monitoring general AML queries inbox and escalating matters as appropriate.
- Providing guidance and advice to sales & lettings colleagues and relevant teams across the business on money laundering queries, ensuring appropriate checks are conducted.
- Regularly reviewing sanctions, PEP, and watch-list matches and escalating as appropriate.
- Where required, supporting the ongoing monitoring of clients and matters, including periodic reviews and reporting any concerns/suspicious activity to the Head of AML & MLRO.
- Liaising with relevant stakeholders on potential AML issues, addressing technical and general queries.
- Performing periodic reviews and spot checks of existing customer KYC as required by internal Group AML policies.
- Promoting adherence to the internal AML policies throughout the business, upholding the highest standards and best practice at all times.
- To support team members and to assist the Group AML Team Leader/Deputy MLRO and the Head of AML/MLRO with other relevant tasks and duties when required.
Skills and Experience
- Role appropriate experience - technically strong and commercially astute.
- Proven experience in admin supporting role within the property or real estate industry.
- Keen interest in and prepared to develop knowledge of AML & Financial crime laws and regulations.
- Highly motivated and pro-active self-starter who has demonstrable ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- A high standard of written and oral communication.
- Positive and robust attitude with a high level of personal motivation.
- Flexible attitude and willingness to adapt as the business grows.
