We are seeking a Senior Web & SEO Manager to take full ownership of our digital presence and lead the strategy for how the business is discovered, experienced, and converted online. This is a senior, high-impact role at the centre of our growth function. You will be responsible for how the website performs as a commercial channel, ensuring it operates as a key driver of organic acquisition rather than purely a marketing asset. In doing so, you will shape both the technical and content foundations required for sustainable organic growth. You will define the direction of SEO and web performance, raise standards across the platform, and ensure the business remains ahead of changes in search, including the shift towards AI-driven discovery.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end email marketing and automation strategy, including segmentation, campaign planning, delivery, and optimisation.
- Design, build, and optimise automated lifecycle journeys including welcome, nurture, abandonment, re-engagement, and retention flows.
- Develop and maintain segmentation and personalisation strategies using behavioural, transactional, and CRM data.
- Own email deliverability, list health, and GDPR compliance, ensuring strong inbox placement and sender reputation.
- Monitor, analyse, and report on email and automation performance, using insight to drive continuous improvement.
- Design and deliver a structured testing programme across email content, timing, segmentation, and journey logic.
- Translate testing outcomes into clear learnings and embed improvements into ongoing best practice.
- Act as the lead specialist for email and automation, presenting insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders and managing key external partners.
What We’re Looking For
Essential Experience
- Proven senior-level experience owning website strategy and SEO (technical and content) within a complex or large-scale website environment.
- Demonstrable track record of delivering measurable organic growth through SEO and web initiatives.
- Strong technical SEO expertise (crawl/indexation, schema, Core Web Vitals, redirects, site architecture).
- Strong content SEO expertise (keyword research, content strategy, on-page optimisation).
- Experience working with CMS platforms and managing developers or agencies.
- Confident using GA4, Google Search Console, and leading SEO tools (SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, etc.).
- Strong stakeholder management experience, including presenting to senior or executive audiences.
- Experience in a local-search or high-consideration industry is advantageous.
Desirable Experience
- Experience with CRM and website integration projects.
- Familiarity with third-party data feeds or listings integrations.
- Understanding of AI search, GEO, and emerging discovery channels.
- Experience mentoring or managing junior SEO/web resource.
Skills & Attributes
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and strong prioritisation skills.
- Confident communicator who can challenge agencies and influence senior stakeholders.
- Proactive and commercially minded, with a focus on lead generation and business impact.
- Strong problem-solver who identifies and resolves issues before they escalate.
- Comfortable working autonomously while aligning effectively with wider teams.
