Chase & Holland are proud to be partnering exclusively with an ambitious and growing international manufacturer to recruit a commercially focused Financial Controller. This is a rare opportunity to join a successful £10m turnover business with clear and exciting plans to double in size. As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy, driving performance, and supporting the Managing Director in delivering sustainable growth.
This is far more than a traditional finance role. You’ll oversee financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cashflow management, compliance, audit coordination, and internal controls while ensuring the business has the financial clarity and governance needed to scale confidently.
You will:
- Lead and develop a small finance team
- Take full ownership of the finance function
- Drive financial awareness across all departments, to ensure targeted financial performance
- Provide strategic insight to support ambitious growth plans
- Partner closely with the Managing Director as a trusted advisor and play an active role in the Senior Leadership Team
- Influence operational and commercial decision-making
- Manage all external stakeholder relationships including banks, finance companies, auditors and HMRC
We’re seeking a technically strong, commercially astute finance leader who enjoys being embedded in the business. You will ideally:
- Be ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified
- Have experience in a senior finance role within an SME environment
- Bring exposure to manufacturing and/or international trading (highly desirable)
- Have strong Excel and systems skills
- Be proactive, collaborative, and comfortable challenging stakeholders
- Want to make a genuine impact rather than simply report the numbers
