Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor and develop the finance team
- Produce monthly management accounts, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow reporting
- Attend senior management meetings, including presenting the numbers
- Prepare journals, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, depreciation and stock valuations
- Deliver robust balance sheet reconciliations and maintain strong financial controls
- Manage cash flow reporting and produce rolling 12-week cash flow forecasts
- Ensure financial compliance and statutory compliance, including with VAT, PAYE, CIS, payroll, pensions, and Companies House
- Support budgeting, forecasting and longer-term financial/strategic planning
- Work closely with senior leadership, providing financial insight to support commercial decision making
- Lead ERP implementation project
- Drive continuous improvement across finance processes, systems and controls
About You
- Previous experience as a Financial Controller or Senior Finance Manager leading a finance function
- Experience producing monthly management accounts and financial reporting
- A recognised finance qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA), or significant Qualified by Experience (QBE) expertise
- Strong Excel and finance systems knowledge
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- A proactive, organised approach with the ability to prioritise effectively
