Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor and develop the finance team
  • Produce monthly management accounts, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow reporting
  • Attend senior management meetings, including presenting the numbers
  • Prepare journals, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, depreciation and stock valuations
  • Deliver robust balance sheet reconciliations and maintain strong financial controls
  • Manage cash flow reporting and produce rolling 12-week cash flow forecasts
  • Ensure financial compliance and statutory compliance, including with VAT, PAYE, CIS, payroll, pensions, and Companies House
  • Support budgeting, forecasting and longer-term financial/strategic planning
  • Work closely with senior leadership, providing financial insight to support commercial decision making
  • Lead ERP implementation project
  • Drive continuous improvement across finance processes, systems and controls

About You

  • Previous experience as a Financial Controller or Senior Finance Manager leading a finance function
  • Experience producing monthly management accounts and financial reporting
  • A recognised finance qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA), or significant Qualified by Experience (QBE) expertise
  • Strong Excel and finance systems knowledge
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • A proactive, organised approach with the ability to prioritise effectively
