In this hands-on role, you’ll take ownership of end-to-end payroll processing across weekly and monthly cycles for 700+ employees. Managing the full spectrum of payroll activities, from routine tasks to more complex calculations
Processing starters, leavers, SSP, SMP, holiday pay and carrying out HMRC submissions
Overseeing overtime, shift allowances and ensuring compliance with NMW and statutory legislation
Administering pension auto-enrolment and ensuring all processes meet current legislation
Handling payroll queries related to NI, tax and auto-enrolment
Extracting and validating T&A data to ensure accuracy before upload
Completing P11Ds, pension reporting and supporting year-end payroll audits
Contributing to continuous improvement by reviewing and enhancing payroll processes
Setting up new payrolls where requiredWhat we’re looking for:
Proven technical payroll experience, including RTI, SSP, SMP and Auto Enrolment
Strong IT skills with the ability to learn new systems quickly (experience with iTrent is an advantage)
High attention to detail and accuracy when processing weekly and monthly payrolls
