The Opportunity
- Reporting to a senior finance leader, you will act as the finance lead across multiple operational businesses, providing robust financial reporting, insightful analysis, and trusted commercial guidance.
- This is far more than a traditional reporting role—you'll be:
- Partnering with operational teams to drive profitability and performance
- Providing clear, actionable financial insight to support decision‑making
- Playing a key role in budgeting, forecasting, and long‑term planning

- Leading on process improvements and system enhancements

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver timely and accurate monthly management accounts, including insightful commentary and variance analysis
- Partner with operational stakeholders to understand performance drivers and improve outcomes
- Support strategic planning, including budgets, forecasts, and 5‑year plans
- Provide financial input into tenders, pricing models, and new business opportunities
- Monitor contract performance, including profitability and work‑in‑progress
- Develop and enhance financial processes, systems, and reporting
- Produce cash flow forecasts and monitor financial health across the business
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and commercial awareness
About You
- Proactive and commercially aware finance professional confident working closely with non‑finance stakeholders
- A qualified accountant, later stages PQ or strong equivalent by experience
- Experienced in management accounting and financial analysis
- Confident communicating financial information to a non‑finance audience
- Skilled in budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis
- Highly proficient in Excel and finance systems
- Experience within construction, contracting, or project‑based environments would be highly advantageous
