Chase & Holland are excited to be working with a fast-growing business in North Lincolnshire to recruit a Credit Control Manager to lead a team of 4 within a dynamic and evolving finance function. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced credit professional to join a successful organisation where you can make a real impact on cash collection performance, process improvement, and team development. The successful candidate will take ownership of the credit control function across Contracts, Trade, and Retail customers, ensuring strong financial control whilst maintaining excellent customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, motivate and develop the Credit Control team, ensuring delivery against KPIs and service standards
  • Drive more proactive collection of overdue debt across Contracts and Trade accounts
  • Conduct regular debt reviews, escalating risks where appropriate
  • Review and manage credit limits and credit insurance arrangements
  • Build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders to mitigate financial risk
  • Ensure invoices and payment applications are submitted accurately and on time
  • Support operational teams regarding approvals to dispatch products
  • Manage customer queries through to successful resolution
  • Oversee final account reconciliations and retention management
  • Ensure customer master data is maintained accurately
  • Set objectives, conduct regular 1-1s and performance reviews with the team
  • Review and develop controls, processes and procedures
  • Producing regular reports on debtor status, cash flow, and team performance

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience within a Credit Control leadership role
  • Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A proactive and professional approach with a commitment to delivering high standards
  • Industry experience would be advantageous
