An opportunity to lead a substantial finance function, work closely with the CFO and make a genuine impact on how the organisation operates. Chase & Holland are recruiting an experienced Financial Controller for a large, established organisation. This is a broad senior finance role with responsibility across Financial Accounts, Management Accounts and Purchasing, combining technical finance, team leadership and continuous improvement.

The Role

You'll take ownership of the day-to-day finance operation while becoming a key partner to the CFO and wider leadership team. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading monthly and annual financial reporting
  • Budgeting, forecasting and financial planning
  • Cash flow and working capital management
  • Improving financial controls, systems and processes
  • Managing statutory reporting and external audit
  • Providing insight and challenge to budget holders
  • Leading, mentoring and developing a sizeable finance team
  • Driving greater accuracy, accountability and continuous improvement across finance

The Person

You'll be a qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CIPFA accountant with strong financial and management accounting experience and the confidence to lead people and influence stakeholders. You'll ideally bring strong Excel and finance systems knowledge, experience improving controls and processes, and a track record of developing teams.
