Factory Manager – Rotherham – £70,000 – £90,000 + Car Chase & Holland are excited to be working exclusively with a highly successful and innovative manufacturer in Rotherham who are looking to recruit a Factory Manager to join their senior leadership team. You will be a hands-on and experienced Factory Manager who comes from a fast-paced manufacturing background who can oversee the Factory and surrounding support teams covering Maintenance, Fabrication and Yard. With 8 direct reports and 120 indirect reports, you will ensure day to day business goals are achieved through driving collaboration across all departments. Our client will consider someone who is either looking to progress up to this Factory Manager level or who is already an established Factory Manager but must have a demonstrable background and focus on continuous improvement. In Return You’ll Receive: Company Car Discretionary Bonus Private Medical 30 days’ annual leave (including Bank Holidays) Contributory Company Pension Scheme Free onsite parking An opportunity to grow and develop within a true people focused business Factory Manager Responsibilities: Identify and seek new opportunities to improve and streamline processes, as well as continuously looking to maximise the productivity and use of the factory facility Ensure a safe working environment and promote a safe culture, whilst supporting the team with any safety concerns To effectively manage resources in line with the production plan to deliver product on time and in full to the desired cost and quality even when the plan can change daily Ensure KPI compliance, manage underperforming areas and deliver on RFT target Lead and support a continuous improvement culture Stay abreast of industry developments, regulatory requirements, and best practices in manufacturing and management to ensure compliance and maintain a competitive edge Monitor and update risk assessments and training manuals Manage employee relations and team engagement as well as manage and control cost Maintain a flexible approach to working hours and department support as needed Hours: Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm Required Skills & Experience: Demonstrable management experience within a high-volume manufacturing business (essential) Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and able to motivate and direct a team Provide support, direction via training, guidance and leadership to ensure that the company’s core values are maintained and delivered Deliver and attend team meetings/briefings to ensure effective communication is maintained through the business at all times An understanding of Quality, Environment and Health and Safety Management Systems Lean knowledge / qualifications such as yellow/green belt (desirable) If you are interested in finding out about this exciting Factory Manager opportunity, please click ‘apply now’.
