Reporting into the Lead Management Accountant, this role is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in a well-known business, who are constantly growing and are a reputable employer in the area.

Management Accounts Assistant Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparation of monthly management accounts
- Calculation and processing of month end processes (journals, reconciliations, control accounts)
- Administer elements of weekly cash forecast files for group entities
- Monthly completion of relevant group balance sheet controls
- Liaison with relevant departments to resolve accounting issues and reconciling items
- Completion of national statistics data for ONS and other ad-hoc reporting
- Ad hoc analysis and projects
- Ownership and analysis of group utility spend
- Maintain entity fixed asset register, including processing additions and reporting
- Proactively identify, and implement opportunities to improve processes and ways of working
Required Skills & Experience:
- Working towards CIMA/ACCA qualifications
- A strong working understanding double entry accounting and high-volume transactions
- Comfortable working independently and seeking opportunities for personal growth
- Good Excel skills including pivot tables, v lookups, formatting etc.
- High level of accuracy, strong attention to detail, and ability to meet strict deadlines
- Flexible, dynamic individual, able to manage own workload and changing demand
