This progressive, fast paced blue chip business based in Northeast Lincolnshire is seeking to appoint a Financial Accountant, with responsibility for IFRS Statutory financial statements and financial accounting activities including both UK entities and Ireland. This opportunity is for a Qualified ACA, ACCA or ICAEW Accountant with the key focus on UKGAAP and IFRS financial accounting for complex transactions, legal entity restructuring, investments and dividends.

Key accountabilities will include:

  • Completion of the UK statutory accounts and fellow subsidiaries accounts by entity, including adjustments for IFRS and UK Gaap
  • Preparation of the IFRS financial statements including disclosures, and providing all required analysis to support the external audit
  • Completion of multiple balance sheet reconciliations
  • Supporting the external and internal auditing process including preparing schedules for requests
  • Journals preparation and entry
  • Month end accounting activities
  • Co-ordination and completion of various periodic internal and external (OFNS) questionnaires
  • Supporting the wider financial accounting team responsibilities when required and undertaking ad-hoc accounting projects and special reviews

The ideal candidate will be:

  • An ACA, ACCA or CIMA Qualified Accountant
  • Strong financial accounting and analytical background
  • Sound knowledge of statutory reporting requirements
  • Knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Would suit someone looking for a first or second move from practice into industry
