Management Accountant key responsibilities will include:

  • Producing monthly management accounts, variance analysis and commentary
  • Preparing financial reports, dashboards and KPI reporting to support operational and strategic decisions
  • Managing month-end accounting activities including journals, accruals and prepayments
  • Supporting the annual budgeting and forecasting process, providing analysis and guidance to managers
  • Acting as the Finance Business Partner, helping budget holders understand financial performance and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Delivering financial guidance and training to non-financial managers
  • Preparing financial information for funding applications, grant reporting and reserves management
  • Supporting internal and external audits and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and best practice
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of finance systems, controls and reporting processes

You'll ideally have:

  • A professional accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or be working towards qualification
  • Previous experience within a management accounting or finance business partnering role
  • Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting experience.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present financial information clearly
  • A proactive approach with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Strong Excel and financial systems experience
